ABOUT ME
ALL STARTED IN 2008
I remember the first film that I watched which made me love films, 2008's Iron Man. The Marvel movies have inspired so many people to go to cinemas and some to go into the film industry, Marvel made me love film all the way back in 2008 with their first film.
Ever since then I have watched the Marvel movies in cinemas and I picked up reading comics so I could learn more about the stories being brought to life.
EARLY 2018 - LATE 2019
In early 2018, I decided I would start a YouTube channel where I would vlog my day to day life. I spent hours a week filming and editing these vlogs as I posted at least 10 minute vlogs daily.
During my year and a half on YouTube, I filmed multiple horror series with my friends. These series that I made taught me how to edit, direct, script write and camera operate even though I filmed using a phone.
I stopped posting towards November 2019 when I had started feeling tired of the process and stopped filmmaking entirely. Eventually, all my YouTube videos were deleted with the channel changing name.
LOVING FILM AGAIN
2020, Lockdown just hit and I decide I'll watch the Marvel Movies all over again but this time was different, I started noticing the issues with the films. Before this I had always thought that most of the Marvel movies were amazing but this time I had learnt what makes a film good.
My inspiration for filmmaking started off with the Marvel movies but I wouldn't say they inspire me anymore, Films like The Batman which aim to make a good film and not just a blockbuster inspire me.
I want to make a film that I can be proud of which isn't just a big action film which only is popular due to the franchise as a whole.
BOA STAGE AND SCREEN
I'm currently studying at BOA Stage and Screen Production which I have been able to pick up many opportunities for filming and being able to make what I want with the large amount of equipment I have been given access to.
At my brief time studying at BOA Stage and Screen, I have been able to learn how to film many ways and styles. I have been able to teach myself how nearly every aspect of a camera works from the resources handed to me.
